I met the buyers at a previous open house in 2018. That house wasn't the right one however we stayed in touch and I offered to help on their search. We saw plenty of homes over the next several months. Finally, we came full circle in April when I took them to see the home in Malverne. The pictures speak for themselves and I knew that this was like no other house we had seen together. I knew this was the home for them, the questions was for how much. The next day I received a call telling me that my buyers offer was accepted. My buyers were anxiously boarding a plane to go on vacation but I caught them right before they got on to tell them the good news!
As a realtor you have to be motivated. Personally my biggest motivation is the thought of letting a buyer/seller down and not meeting their expectations. The tireless text conversations at late hours of the night are all worth it when you are sitting at that close table and seeing your clients get what they want. Knowing that I can do that for someone is what I strive to do.
Side note: Less than 2 weeks prior to this offer being put in, my buyers put an offer in on another home and could have easily taken it. It was a great sale as well. But something at the last minute told them to back out and not accept the counter.....Good things come to those who wait!
