One of Our Own Honored at the Long Island Press Power Women Awards
A night of empowerment at this year’s Long Island Press Power Women Awards.
The annual event, recognizes and honors high-powered women whose achievements and participation in business and their communities have made a positive difference on Long Island. Among the women being honored, was our very own Anna Beigelman. Join us in celebrating Anna's accomplishment!
Anna shared, "When I arrived here at age 12, from the former Soviet Union, with $60 to my name, but with strong women, I could not have imagined how life would turn out. Now, to stand on stage being recognized as being in the top 10% in my field, tells me that nothing is impossible. People can achieve anything. YOU can achieve anything. When you do, it's important to give back. As my success has taken off, I've been able to give back by awarding 12 local high school seniors with college scholarships. Each has demonstrated a strong work-ethic, has stood-out in their communities, and overcome challenges."
This year's Long Island Press event also raised money for Girls Inc, Long Island. Girls Inc is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to inspire girls and young women to be strong, smart and strong. Raising a new generation of strong women!
